2000 – 2009

In 2000, the boys had an outstanding season, by becoming only the second Solanco boys team to go undefeated while ending Mannheim Townships 77 meet win streak in the process.  They followed this up by winning the Lancaster Lebanon League Championship meet with Kyle Nardella, Sam Kirk and Derek Jennings all finishing in the top ten.  Derek and Sam both qualified for the PIAA State Championships with strong performances at the PIAA Distrtict 3 Championships.  Sam earning a 4th place medal at districts and capping his senior year by medaling at States with a 12th place finish.  Meanwhile, the girls, their numbers thinned by injuries and graduation had a successful season by going 11-10.

In 2001, the boys went 18-3 and finished as runner-ups at the LL Championship Race.  Derek Jennings was 2nd and Brent Landis was 5th. Brent medaled at districts at 13th. Both Jennings and Landis participated at the PIAA Championships that season.

The 2002 boys team went 19-2 during the regular season. Winning the league title putting 3 in the top 10. (Derek Jennings 5th, Brent Landis 7th, Will Shoemaker 10th). Landis led the way at the District 3 Championships with a 11th place finish followed by Jennings at 22nd and Shoemaker at 25th. 

The 2002 ladies squad was small with a total of 7 members.  Priscilla Jennings and Karen Condon led the squad with 20th and 27th place finishes respectively at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships. 

The 2003 boys squad embarked on a retooling effort with the loss of several key seniors.  Derek Jennings continued to pace the squad with a solid regular season, strong 3rd place finish at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships, 6th at districts and an 11th place finish at the PIAA State Championships. Derek finished his career as a 4 time LL All-Star.  

The ladies also shared some strong performances with Priscilla Jennings leading the way with a 9th place finish at the LL League Championships.

2004 marked the return of some strong veterans and some strong freshmen.  The boy’s would post a 19-2 regular season record.

Andrew Musselman was the top Mule at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships with a 10th place finish.  The ladies rebounded mightily with a regular season championship at 21-0 and a Lancaster Lebanon League Championship at the all league meet.  This post-season was led by seniors Priscilla Jennings and Lorielle Ressler along with the strong performances by underclassmen Amy Rankin, Angie Nicholl, Sarah Balawejder and Rachelle Jennings.

The 2005 season marked a rebuilding year of sorts for both squads with the boys finishing 16-5 and the ladies at 14-7.  A small ladies team of 8 members fought hard at the Lancaster League Championships led by Amy Rankin with a 9th place finish.  Medalists for the boys included Josh Tice (14th) and Mike Cavanaugh (28th). 

Returning a few upperclassmen and several key underclassmen the 2006 boys squad compiled a strong 18-3 regular season record and a 2nd place finish at the Lancaster League Championships.  Lancaster Lebanon league medalists included Josh Tice (11th), Cory Jennings (15th), Wes Hawkins (16th), and Lyle Ressler (25th).  Cory Jennings went on to qualify for the PIAA State Championships. 2006 was a strong year for the ladies as well finishing at 18-3.  The ladies were led by freshman Taylor Ludman who finished 9th at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships.  She also placed 14th at the PIAA District 3 Championships earning a trip to the PIAA State Championships.

The 2007 boy’s squad improved on their 2006 season by securing an additional win and finishing with a strong 19-2 regular season record. The ladies finished 13-8.  Medalists at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships included Cory Jennings (11th), Adam Duke (21st), and Amy Rankin (25th).  Cory followed up his strong league performance with a 25thplace at the PIAA District 3 Championships earning himself a trip to the PIAA State Championships.

With a blend of veterans and newcomers the 2008 squads finished at 15-6 and 16-5 respectively for the boys and ladies.  The teams had strong Lancaster Lebanon League Championship showings by medalists Taylor Ludman (7th), Adam Duke (17th), Tom Whitehill (19th), and Steve Linde (29th). 

Taylor returned to the PIAA State Championships that season by virtue of a 19th place finish at the PIAA District 3 Championships.

 2009 marked growth in the ladies program with a team of 17 members. This group went on to finish the regular season 18-3 and 3rd place finish at the Lancaster Lebanon League Championships.  The boys also had a solid regular season, finishing 17-4.  League medalist that season included Taylor Ludman (4th), Vontoria Post (23rd), Rachael Cairns (28th), Jillian Eberly (29th),

Josh Temple (17th), John Ausel (19th) and Isa Yuzon (29th). 

Taylor Ludman followed up her strong effort at the league meet with a 3rd place finish at the PIAA District Championships and a 30th place finish at the PIAA State Championships.
